IN THE GRAND MANNER: RECREATING THE CALLAN GETTYSBURG
Iain Gale has kindly sent the following image showing a part of his wonderful new American Civil War battlefield. He is hoping to create the famous scene from Callan the movie when Edward Woodward fights the battle of Gettysburg. I am sure the discerning amongst you will notice the similarity of terrain. In fact it is astoundingly similar, but that of course is Iain's aim. The figures are mostly Jacklex as you can see. At the time of writing this Iain is beavering away painting hundreds more figures to create the final masterpiece. I can only salute him for a tremendous battleground.
Iain took on his Son in a trial run of the battle. The image represent the third day of the battle and the assault on the Union positions at Gettysburg. Very impressive indeed and thank you to Iain for sharing his fun. I love the artillery bounce stick!
